A Dream Rooted In Hospitality

More than a decade before our doors opened, we imagined a small bayfront haven where people could slow down, feel welcome, and be known by name. With over thirty years in hospitality between us, we understood menus and service, yet what really pulled us forward was heart. We wanted a place that felt personal and human, where kindness led every interaction and every guest could feel like they were exactly where they belonged.

Two Women, One Shared Vision

As a woman- and family-owned, LGBTQ+ led business, we see The Savory Palette as both our livelihood and our love letter to Morro Bay. Tammy pours her creativity into the kitchen, crafting charcuterie boards, soups, sandwiches, and tea towers that tell a story on every plate. Nancy focuses on guests, pairings, and community, guiding visitors through wines, beers, or teas without pretense. Together, we try to create the kind of relaxed, beautiful space we wish existed everywhere.

A Living Room By The Bay

We often say our space feels more like an extended living room than a business, since that is how we try to show up every day. Regulars gather for open-mic, travelers wander in for sunset wine, and tea lovers settle in for slow afternoons with tiered stands and steaming pots. Every conversation, pairing, and plate is an invitation to stay a little longer and let the view, and the company, do the rest.

Inclusivity

We welcome every guest as a cherished part of our bayfront community table.

The Women Behind the Wine

With over 30 years in hospitality, we’ve poured our passion into creating a space where guests can slow down, savor thoughtfully curated flavors, and feel right at home by the bay.

Meet Tammy

Tammy's story usually starts in the kitchen. Long before our bayfront windows ever filled with sunset light, she spent decades in hospitality learning how a simple plate, served with care, can change the feel of a whole room. That experience lives in every charcuterie board, soup, sandwich, flatbread, and tea tower that leaves our tiny kitchen today.

Tammy thinks in flavors and textures, always asking how a bite will land beside a particular wine, beer, or pot of tea. Guests often tell us they feel like they have stumbled into a fine dining experience, only without the fuss or formality. That balance is Tammy's craft. She cooks like she is inviting you into our home, and she never forgets that your evening here might be the moment you have been craving all week.

Meet Nancy

Nancy is the first warm welcome many guests feel when they step through our door. Her path through more than thirty years of hospitality taught her that people remember how you made them feel even longer than what you poured in their glass. That lesson shapes every greeting, every recommendation, and every lingering conversation at the bar or by the window.

She loves guiding guests through boutique wines, local brews, and teas in a way that feels relaxed and friendly, never intimidating. Whether you are a longtime enthusiast or you just know you like "something smooth," Nancy meets you where you are and listens closely. She holds our commitment to presence close to heart, making sure each visit feels personal, unhurried, and genuinely inclusive. For Nancy, community is not a concept, it is the faces she sees come back again and again.
